Halley’s Comet, the brightest comet visible from Earth with the naked eye for a very short period of time every 75 years, which means it can be observed up to two times
in a lifetime. Halley’s Comet became the first comet to be observed in detail by spacecraft.
The comet’s orbit was computed by Edmond Halley – an English astronomer, mathematician, geophysicist and meteorologist in 1705.
